Whenever I hear the words "Summer Days," I think of the song from Grease. You can laugh, go ahead.

This summer has felt like it's flown by. Between all the people that have come and visited (and someone who's even moved to NYC!) and just the craziness of day-to-day life mixed with a little bit of wedding planning, I don't really know where the time has gone. (Clearly, I didn't even realize more than a month has gone by since my last post. My bad!I was getting so good about it.)

On my Instagram the other day, I mentioned that as much as I love the short dresses and being tan in the summer, I'm really ready for fall. Growing up in the desert, we had no differentiation between seasons so even after living on the East Coast for five years, the changing of seasons still brings me joy.

But as much as I'm looking forward to summer turning to fall, I'm really just ready for this year to be over.

As much as I joke around on social media and I have a snarky sense of humor that sometimes comes through on here, this year has been really rough for me. Not in the sense of anything major happening but it's been non-stop things just going wrong.

Blame it on it being my Ben Ming Nian (本命年), blame it on the planets... I'm ready for my luck to turn around.

So while these summer days are ending, I'm welcoming the cooler, brisk air and maybe just a bit of better luck as the seasons change.
