OOTD: Two for One

As you all have noticed lately, I've been featuring my coworkers on my blog (Jess and Cara). Today we have a new one that I'm introducing to you all. She's a huge leather fan and loves the fall season and today has been the first time where I've walked in and approved of every single piece of her outfit. 

Fall is definitely making its presence known here in New England and we're all loving it! (Well most of us anyway...) Let's start with the most outstanding piece of her outfit: the jacket.

This jacket has been blowing out of our store! The price point is amazing and it fits so well. I love the leather strip detail on it - and anything with a big "collar" is an instant love for me (wait til you all see my second outfit post...) I also love her layering with the top underneath the jacket - the ruffles add a feminine touch to an otherwise chic outfit. 

Moving further down her outfit... Bonnie always loves having a scarf. In fact, some days, she'll come to work and I give her a hard time and she tells me "It's cause I'm not wearing my scarf!" But this pop of color on an all black outfit helps her outfit take that next step. Her boots are Rag & Bones from last fall. Rag & Bone has quickly (and easily) become one of my favorite contemporary brands. From their boots to their denim to their jackets, their designers really know who their target market is and what they love.

And what's going on with the braid in my hair? You can see it from the back (kind of) in the first picture but I've been really lazy lately and have defaulted to a wrap around braid from both sides and tying it in the back to keep the hair out of my face for work and class.

One last surprise for you all, which I'm so excited about and have been waiting for the perfect time to get this done.... DRUMROLL PLEASE...

Moving onto my outfit, I'm glad to announce that I have finally purchased a leather jacket. That's right - I haven't owned a leather jacket. Let's just take a look at the back of this jacket for a second... I LOVE that it's NOT cropped. Don't get me wrong, I love my IRO Agnette, which is cropped, but leather jackets that are too short don't flatter my body. I love the tailoring on the back and the attention to detail. 

I couldn't wait to wear this out and I wore it to work today! And since fall is here already and we all know aubergine is the color for fall this year... why not?!

This is my ideal fall outfit: leather jacket, skinny jeans, some sort of tee and a scarf - minus the flats, really wish I had some ankle booties right now. This leather jacket is an exclusive for SCOOP NYC by Veda. One of the things that I love about Veda is the sleeve detail - instead of an all leather sleeve, there's a cotton portion that stretches and makes it so much more comfortable. 

I have official business cards! You can't see it in the photos, but they're a matte black on both sides - white text and hot pink accent text for my twitter handle :) Looking forward to meeting new people and networking with these! Especially at the TruFiction show on September 30!
