Fashion News: Tru Fiction by Mark Cordell @ The Tent

I've been looking forward to this show all month! And it definitely didn't disappoint. So thankful for the front row seating and the awesome view right at the end of the runway. And I'm so happy I'm able to share this with you all! Warning: this post is image heavy!

After getting our wristbands taken care of, Alana and I proceeded to the Fashion Lounge. The atmosphere was fun - so many different people and great vibes. Although, a couple of us felt slightly over dressed...

After a long awaited 45 minutes in the lounge, we made our way to our seats! Boston isn't New York by a long shot - but this was a gorgeous set up nonetheless - and check out the cute little boy in the suspenders right in the front row with his mom! We were obsessed with him!

And the lights dimmed.. and the show started!

I love his use of prints this season! And the one thing that everyone definitely agreed on was the androgynous aspect of his collection. Everything (except for the skirt and the dress at the very end) was able to worn by both genders! There are definitely a couple pieces that I hope will come in XXXS so I can add them to my closet :)

Key things to pay attention to that I'm in love with:

  • Drop crotch pants

  • Prints/Mixed prints

  • High-low hem

  • High waisted, pleated leather skirt

  • Draping

My favorite moment of all fashion shows: the moment the designer steps on the catwalk and takes their bow.

What an amazing show! I really love how all the pieces turned out. I know that Mark puts a lot of time and attention to detail in every single one of his pieces.

And what would an event be without pictures of some of the attendees?

I'm so happy I was able to attend and be a part of this! It's so amazing to see someone's dreams come to life. Mark Cordell is one to keep your eyes on so make sure you like his Facebook fan page! I'll be sure to keep everyone posted once his site finally becomes active and any other news that I can possibly share!
