Long Weekend, Short Dress

Hellooooo, long weekend!

Living in NYC and having long weekends gives you quite a few options. You can either head out of the city (to Montauk, the Hamptons) and spend some time away from the city or you can choose to stay in the city and revel in the fact that everyone is gone. Nicholas and I typically choose the latter. Our weeks are so crazy and hectic that when it gets to the weekend, we don't really want to go anywhere. In fact, we don't stray farther than a couple blocks from home.

We're lucky that we live so close to the water – we can grab a drink and hang out by the water for a bit and soak up some sun. I don't know what I would do if we weren't so close to some form of body of water. (It must be the Pisces in both of us.)

On that note, I just wanted to share that I caved on the off-the-shoulder trend. It was actually quite hard to find one that I liked. I eventually found this little gem from Zara – it even has pockets! Like come on, who isn't a sucker for a dress with pockets?!
