New York is slowly starting to get its warm-weather act together. I mean, it's been officially Spring for like a week now! But before the Winter chill officially goes away, I wanted to share this one last winter-y look.

I've mentioned before that down jackets are like the bane of my existence – okay, I realize that's exaggerating because I'd otherwise freeze to death without it – but you have to admit, they're not the most stylish things out there.

Whenever I can, I make it a point to accessorize as best I can, both under and over the down jacket. The day we shot these pictures, it was below freezing and I quickly unzipped my jacket to capture these shots. But on a regular non-shoot day, I'd dress similarly because, hey, once that down jacket unzips, your outfit is front and center. 

This jacket has definitely been a trooper and it's time to retire it. (I can't tell you how many blizzards it's been through!) so can I just say I'm so excited to get this jacket cleaned and packed away? I am on the hunt for a new down jacket so if you have any suggestions or ones you LOVE, feel free to send those suggestions my way!

I'm sure I'm not the only one excited for dresses & shorts (I may or may not have dropped a bit of $$ at Rag & Bone after this shoot on some new shorts. MAYBE!) So let's let the power of positive thinking take over and start dreaming of warmer weather.
