Fifty Shades

Much of my winter wardrobe consists of darker colors and you can only wear all black so many times before people start wondering to themselves "Is she wearing the same thing everyday?"

So one of my favorite alternative colors since I've moved to New York is actually grey! It's super versatile and helps lighten the look a little bit – even if you're dead set on wearing all black.

I recently discovered high-waist jeans. I always thought that they looked too "mommy jean"-ish and never wanted to give them a try. And as my days being in my twenties are slowly inching to their end, I've had to come to terms with the fact that I can't wear low-waisted pants forever because my metabolism doesn't exactly work off those extra dumplings like it used to.

All jokes aside, these Rag & Bone jeans have become my favorite piece in my closet that I've purchased recently. I adore Rag & Bone jeans – from my shorts to ripped denim to specialty denim but these are SO comfortable and are so incredibly flattering. The wash is also perfect – they are black but there's a bit of a faded wash so they're not 100% pitch black.

As these colder days are numbered (maybe even quicker than we thought), I've made the decision that this year, during the warmer months, I'll branch out my wardrobe's color situation. Believe it or not, I still rock 50 different shades of black and grey during the summer whenever I can.
