Totally joking. But you better get used to these Disney themes for a while. (And by a while, I mean forever.)
What I really wanted to talk about today is how we got started planning our Disney wedding. Wedding planning is already difficult enough as it is, but a Disney wedding with limited information on the website? Where do you go? Who do you ask? Who is that girl I see, staring straight back at me?
One big 'To-Do' checked off! I still can't really believe that I bought my wedding dress. It's still a little weird to me that I have to keep this secret from Nicholas for the next year!
This post may be a little underwhelming for some – I obviously can't give away what my dress looks like. BUT let me just say that I walked into this appointment with my mind made up about the designer I wanted, the style and the fact that I didn't want any sparkles or a veil. Good thing I kept an open mind because the dress I chose brought everyone (including myself) to tears.
It's been almost two weeks now and I'm still not over my Disney hangover. How do you really get past having Mickey shaped everything and perfect customer service all the time? Not to mention, the amazing scents all over Disney Parks and resorts. Sure beats the trash and smell of gasoline here in NYC!
This trip was the first one in a year that we haven't had to do something.
Well, I'm happy to say that this trip, Nicholas and I took Timon and Pumbaa's philospophy to the maximum level.
I've gone on and on about this engagement shoot long enough – it's finally time to share some images with you all!
It was such an awesome experience to be in Epcot before the park was actually open to the public. If you're a Disney fan and want something like this, I highly suggest it. Dean was such a pleasure to have as a photographer – Nicholas and I laughed so much during the shoot! I was actually quite worried because Nicholas doesn't like taking pictures but Dean kept us at ease and the shoot was so much fun!
Alright, enough of me blabbing – let's take a trip around the world through some of my favorite pictures from our engagement shoot!
Sick of Disney yet? Of course you're not! Who gets sick of Disney?!
Anyhow, all things seem to be pointing in the right direction for me and my dream wedding at Walt Disney World. The Knot even posted this adorable "by the numbers" infographic about Disney Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons. And you know, I can't resist a good infographic. (That's not a weird thing, right?)
Five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes Five hundred twenty five thousand moments so dear Five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes How do you measure, measure a year?
Last year, on this day, I got engaged! My post about our engagement was titled "A New York Minute" and, well, it's been just about 525,600 New York Minutes to be exact. To be honest, I really can't believe time has gone by so fast. I know, I know – everyone says the same thing but seriously!
There's times where I feel like "Sh*t. What do I have to write about?" and then there's times where I have a million ideas to write about and for some reason, they don't ever make it to this blog. Sorry!
I've been wanting to write a recap of our engagement party for a while now and no time better than the present to do it, right?
