Anyone who knows me in real life knows I have a vast range of interests. And with those interests come things that I come across on the internet, books I’m reading (or will be reading), and fun things to buy. Since I can’t always share these things with every single person, I’ll be updating this page periodically with everything from my favorite TED Talks to my favorite Spotify playlist at the time to something cool I found on Amazon. Enjoy.

You are not alone in your loneliness

“When two aliebns find each other in a strange place, it feels a little more like home.”

This TED Talk is very recent but ever since I saw Jonny’s tweet that he had just recorded a TED Talk and what it was about, I couldn’t wait for this to be posted on Ted.com.

After watching this, it made me so incredibly happy. I have always looked to the internet as a source of happiness, as a source of community, and as a place where I really do value the micro-interactions on social media. Despite all the bad things that happen because of the internet, I have made so many friends because of it.

“and in these dangerous and unsure times, in the midst of it all, I think the thing that we have to hold on to is other people. and i know that is a small thing made up of small moments, but i think it is one tiny, tiny sliver of light in all the darkness.”

mickey & Minnie Donut blanket

I really, really truly don’t believe I need to explain myself here.

But just in case, I own a couple Disney blankets (including an Ariel blanket that has my name embroidered on it) but when I saw this, I couldn’t resist the cuteness. Who doesn’t love donuts? Especially when they’re Mickey shaped!

Besides, it makes a good backdrop for Wicket photos.

Señorita by Shawn mendes & camila Cabello

One of my few favorite things about the summer is the music! As much as we all were tired of hearing DES-PA-CITO a couple summers ago, don’t pretend that you don’t still sing along and want to take a flight to somewhere tropical when this song comes on.

This year, thanks to two of my friends, I am now addicted to this song by Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello!

And, this should come as no surprise to you, but whenever I love a new song and if there’s even a slight chance there could be choreography for it, I look on YouTube to watch the most talented dancers performing the most amazing choreography. My two favorites for thsi song? Kyle Hanagami and Tim Milgram. Proceed with caution though — you may want to book a flight to Miami and dance for hours in the sand.
