Galaxy's Edge: A Trip to Batuu

Well, you can’t tell me you weren’t expecting this, right? And yes, there are a MILLION other people writing this same blog post but you come read mine for a reason, right?

This was our first time making the trip down to Orlando for an Annual Passholder preview event and I’m so happy we did! It wasn’t the longest or most convenient trip but it was an amazing once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see Galaxy’s Edge as empty as it was and be able to ride Smuggler’s Run as many times we as we did in that short amount of time.

Things I've Learned from Disney Princesses

I was a little nostalgic this week and read some of my older posts — you know, the ones where I committed to putting more time into this blog and finding more time for myself… those ones. Obviously, life happened and it does make me sad that I didn’t fulfill something I really wanted to do for myself.

That said, it’s never too late right? Rather than feel sorry for myself, I felt inspired. The Little Mermaid’s 30th anniversary is this year (don’t worry Ariel, you don’t look a day over 14) and what better way to celebrate my favorite Disney Princess’ celebration than to share what my favorite Disney Princesses have taught me and how they’ve inspired me. Mickey: The True Original Exhibition

It shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone at this point that Mickey Mouse is getting some love this year because he’s turning 90! He sure looks good for his age, doesn’t he?! Along with all the Mickey style collabs that have happened, an exhibition celebrating 90 years of Mickey Mouse and his influence on art, fashion, and pop culture. I was lucky enough to be able to visit opening weekend with my husband, two best friends (aka my #DisneySquad), and the woman I owe all my custom Disney outfit pieces to. Here’s my take on the exhibition — spoiler alert: it’s pretty effin’ awesome.

#HappilyEverArvanitis: Vendors

Phew - it's been a whirlwind of the last two months. Needless to say, the last thing I've wanted to do, or had the brain capacity for, is putting pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard?) to recap our wedding. If you've been following along on Instagram, you've seen little snippets here and there of our big day. For now, I wanted to take the time to thank and review our vendors that made the day so very extra magical.

Under The Sea

Last weekend I was surprised by my Future Mother-In-Law and some of my best friends with an Under the Sea themed Kitchen Tea (a South Africanism, that is otherwise known as a Bridal Shower here!) Unbeknownst to me, my FMIL (Future Mother-In-Law), my Maid of Honor, and my Future Hubby all banded together to invite as many of my friends as possible to come celebrate! This is no easy task, as my circle of friends is quite tiny. Read on to see more details about this day!
