Galaxy's Edge: A Trip to Batuu

Well, you can’t tell me you weren’t expecting this, right? And yes, there are a MILLION other people writing this same blog post but you come read mine for a reason, right?

This was our first time making the trip down to Orlando for an Annual Passholder preview event and I’m so happy we did! It wasn’t the longest or most convenient trip but it was an amazing once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see Galaxy’s Edge as empty as it was and be able to ride Smuggler’s Run as many times we as we did in that short amount of time.

Smile Brilliant: cariPRO

Last time I partnered with Smile Brilliant, it was in the midst of wedding planning. Now, since then, a lot of things have changed and lots of lifestyle changes have happened but one thing that really hasn’t changed is that I’m still incredibly self-conscious about my smile. I don’t have incredibly straight teeth and I don’t exactly have the whitest smile.

So when Smile Brilliant reached out to collaborate again, I was excited!

#HappilyEverArvanitis: Vendors

Phew - it's been a whirlwind of the last two months. Needless to say, the last thing I've wanted to do, or had the brain capacity for, is putting pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard?) to recap our wedding. If you've been following along on Instagram, you've seen little snippets here and there of our big day. For now, I wanted to take the time to thank and review our vendors that made the day so very extra magical.

Wedding Skin Prep

I've had bad skin as long as I can remember. My dad used to say that it was because I didn't wash my face correctly (cue eye roll.) For years, I just dealt with it - enlarged pores, very oily t-zone, frequent breakouts in the same places, and uneven skin and scars thanks to fingers that just can't hep themselves from picking at breakouts. When we started wedding planning, I knew one of the things I had to do was figure out a way to have the clearest, brightest, glowing skin possible on my big day. And with just a little less than a month until we say 'I do!' I want to share everything I've done to make this possible.

#SMWNYC 2017 – in GIFs

I was lucky enough to spend the last week at The Times Center for Social Media Week NYC. This was my first ever social media conference and I've learned SO much, outside of just numbers and statistics to take back.

Being a SMW noobie, I wanted to round up my thoughts on #SMWNYC. One of the things I learned was from Adam Leibsohn was that GIFs are the atomic unit of expression, emotion, information, entertainment – SIMULTANEOUSLY! So... LET'S DO THIS!

Timeless

Menswear has always had my heart but one thing I honestly never understood was watches. After all this time, I won't pretend that I understand the urge that my fiancé has when we walk past a nice watch boutique – I guess the closest thing I can compare it to is when I want to linger in front of the windows at Bergdorf's just a second longer?

When Jord watches  reached out for a collaboration opportunity, I knew my fiancé would be the perfect match! There's two different things that he shows me often on Instagram: houses and watches (I've created a monster, I know) so I wanted to give him a little spotlight, just this once.

Caffeinated

Let me start out this post by saying, there are SO many coffee shops I have not tried in New York. So if your favorite isn't on here, please don't get offended! And if you think there's something I have to try, leave me a comment here or Instagram and tell me!

Without further ado, here are my five favorite places to get caffeinated in New York.
